ITV SHOWCASE 2025

On Thursday 12th June, the MAG team was invited to the annual ITV Showcase - An evening that brings insight, product launches, industry experts and ITV talent together for the evening!

This year marks 70 years of ITV - Which means 70 years of commercial television! So what a way to celebrate than hearing brand new material from Dr John Cooper Clarke (if you’re from Manchester .. you know!), listening and watching Linsay Clay and Jo Arden share their top tips for great creatives, learning about the new product launches from ITV over the next 12 months and of course, watching some sneak peaks of AMAZING programming coming up! 

As mentioned, ITV announced 3 new & industry leading product launches that are coming over the next 12 months - Here at MAG, we are so excited.

The first of which is ITV Lead Gen Ads

Have you ever wondered how we can further engage with VOD audiences and drive direct response? Well, now we can! With the launch of Lead Gen Ads on ITVX, which is a pre-populated screen with the consumers email address, audiences can very quickly request further information such as a test drive or a discount code (just to name a few!).

Next up, we have YouTube Affinities

In December 2024, ITV launched their premium content on YouTube, allowing audiences to view full episodes and shot clips across the popular video platform. This new format combines this with Google’s powerful audience insights and search data from ITV’s YouTube channels, allowing brands to reach highly relevant audiences based on their interests

Lastly, we have ITV Outcomes Planner

We all know that TV works, drives business outcomes and builds brand awareness … but how do you forecast what it will do for your business? Now, with the launch of this new product, we can take your TV plans and budgets and forecast short term metrics such as web traffic. 

As well as looking forward, we also had the chance to look back at launches from 2024; The big launch from Showcase 2024, was Pause Ads across ITVX (a static ad in place of video creative when the content is paused) - Since the launch, there have been 300 brands that have been live across this new format, there have been over 3,000,000 pause moments and the average pause is 4 minutes! 

Seeing your brand on TV or VOD is exciting, and the opportunities in 2025 are endless! However, without the right creative, the campaign could fall short of expectations. So, here are 7 tips for great creative!
